I have to have medication, but all I can say is if you are not taking meds, try breathing exercises, and try to avoid situations that trigger your anxiety. Always try to make sure you are comfortable in your surroundings. Also, tell yourself you are not going to have a panic attack. But not so much that you do have an attack. Good Luck!
the biggest key to overcome this panic disorders without using medicines is willingness..if you are really willing to cure yourself than only you can overcome this anxiety you must have a strong willingness in your mind about overcoming this situation take a good deep breath and whenever you get a panic attack take a deep breath totally divert your mind from that thing..play video games or watch tv just divert your mind from that thing..other thing is yoga is provide you so much mental relaxation that you can overcome this situation..good luck!

If you want to take something for anxiety that helps but ISNT medication..there is something called TensionRx (no its not prescription and just has some magnesium and other natural stuff in it) and you can get it at your health food store.
A LOT of anxiety attacks and panics are almost totally Mental. First step is to realize YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE GOING THROUGH IT and also realize that YOU WILL NOT DIE/GO CRAZY when you have one..and you WILL make them through it. I have PTSD ..and believe me my first panic attack scared the crap out of me. NOW when you have a panic attack..a lot of people are told to DEEP BREATH…though this is good at helping you deal with them…its not the best way to get rid of them… When you deep breathe you really are just masking the fact you have a panic attack. The its hard to at first but when you start having a panic attack …you just got to let yourself experience it …but keep telling yourself “ill get through this…im ok..ill get through this..im ok…” (or whatever wording helps you ) and keep your breathes normal and steady paced.” Its just like when you try to extinguish any thing that causes panic attacks/fear (or phobias) .. you might say “well i get panic attacks in public … thats what im afraid of..” ..true..initially that might be the problem but eventually it becomes the point where you are AFRAID and anxious of having a panic attack…so you become so wound up in your body functions that any normal/slight change scares you and usually drives you into a panic attack
ex: in my panic attacks, i get hot flashes and sweat a little. It got to the point where i didnt like being outside in the sun because i would sweat and start panicing that i was sweating..which would make my heart rate increase..and then start a panic attack. When you let the panic attacks control you..thats when they dont go away (ex: if you have them when you go to a crowded place….so instead you stop going to crowded places instead of staying in side and seeing that nothing bad really happens when you stay)
Now… I am not A Dr. or a counsler..and these are just from my experiences… I DO recomend seeing a counsler..it helps A LOT. If you are in school/college..see a counsler there because they are less rushed to prescribe you actual medication. All the medicine does is raise or lower your ceratonin levels. The best way to do that naturally is to change your lifestyle. Not dramaticly but exercise to releive built up stress, eat better to help your body work the way its supposed to. Also try a new dicipline regimen. Maybe martial arts, or yoga…ive been off my medicine for 2 years and i feel great.
When dealing with my husband who suffered real badly with panic attacks a few years back. I’d comfort him by rubbing his head, giving him peppermint candy to suck on, and by holding him very close to me until the episode subsides. Oftentimes, I’d read scriptures about peace to him until he mellows or prepare herbal teas for him. Such as camomile, peppermint tea and jasmine teas which are very good for calming the nerves.
It truly depends on how bad one’s condition is at any given time. Sometimes people are recommended to blow in a brown paper bags when hyperventilating. Some doctors recommend drinking a small glass of dark red wine.
You may try meditating on positive things, play relaxing music, get a full body massage starting at the head working around the temples first and then making your way down to the lower torso and feet area with lavender body oils. A person could try relaxtion exercises such as Tai Chi or Isometric exercises, deep breathing, etc. I hope some of these suggestions helps.

Tough to do. I’ve counseled several friends in this area and have seen moderate results. The old fashioned remedies include, change of diet, make quiet time for yourself, and lots of exercise. You can make a whole big, long list of things to eliminate from your life. In no particular order, these can include: sugar, artificial food additives, television, any current popular music, animal fats, perfumes, video games, junk food, demanding friends and relatives, pointless deadend job, soda pop, and so forth. Add to your life: lots of fruit, whole grains, lots of exercise, classical music (Mozart), a fun and creative hobby (knitting), weekend hikes, learn a language, volunteer at the animal shelter, do spur-of-the-moment mini-adventures, visit a different art gallery every weekend, take flowers to an old person at a rest home, buy a telescope and look at the stars, join a political protest of some sort, get all dressed up and go to Sunday AM church, and so forth. My theory, and it is only a theory, is that people with anxienty disorders are usually terribly self-centered. People who are loving and giving and put other people’s interest before their own are much calmer. So if you were to call a rest home, talk to the head whomever there, and say you’d like to bring a bouquet of flowers to some old lady who has been abandoned by her relatives, they’d love you for it. You’ll spend a few bucks for gas and flowers, but what you receive in return cannot be purchased by billionaires. Try it.
Imagine a light of protection around you in your minds eye.
Say out loud, “I am calm, and relaxed.” Repeat several times.
If you have faith in a Higher Power, ask for guidance and
protection.
This will not only give you psychological advantage, it
works!

Get with a counselor that is trained int he treatment of anxiety disorders. Lowering your stress levels and increasing your resistance to stress is the target. Cognitive-Behavioral and Rational Emotive therapies are effective in the treatment of anxiety. Look at your overall health as well. When I am physically ill, my panic attacks often flare up. Lowering caffiene intake, exercise, relaxation techniques (deep breathing, yoga, etc.). I like to listen to books on tape better than the relaxation tapes. Talk to your doctor about meds though. Lower dose medications can often treat the anxiety without side effects and if you do have an attack, tend to make them less severe. Also get educated about anxiety disorders. Good luck on this.
This stuff works - plain and simple: I to take it before my flights and it is what helped me overcome my fear of flying. Take this at the onset of stress or if you know you are going into a stressful situation such as a plane ride in my case.

if its bad and especially if it affects your daily life talk to your doctor about xanax or SSIR agents.
